My name is James Anderson & i run the Friockheim Park Community Volunteers Community Group.

Alongside the local authority & partners we look after the park & area.

The park is slap bang in the centre of Angus & i hope you can visit our b

What's The Benefits Of Volunteering With Us?

A​ Safe & Inclusive Environment, First Aider Onsite, Full PPE Supplied, Free Bottled Water & Sweet Treat, Ability For Youth To Complete A Volunteering Award Such As
The Duke of Edinburgh's Award & Saltire Awards, Ability To Gain Confidence, Work As Part Of A Team & Explore Opportunity's To Learn New Skills.

We Regularly Hold Group Litter Picks & Events However Anyone Who Is Interested In Volunteering In Any Way:

Cleaning Play Equipment, Litter Picking, Gardening, Assisting In Manual Labour (Painting & Light Construction), Photography At The Park, Assisting At Our Clean Up Meeting Point Lock Up Or Even Helping Us Online With This Website & Our Facebook Page.

Please Get In Touch So We Can Make Suitable Arrangements, Or Why Not Get In Touch Now & We Can Loan You And The Family Some Litter Picking Equipment For The Day (Complete With, Gloves, Hi -Vis & Bin Bags) We Can Even Dispose Of Any Rubbish You Collect. 

​If Your Interested In Litter Picking As A Hobby Then Angus Council & Community Groups Operate The Adopt-a-Street Scheme, The Council Can Supply A Litter Picker & Hoop For Anyone That Signs Up, Along With Helpful Advice And Support. More Information Can Be Found In The Leaflet Below. You Can Also Pick Up A Copy Of This Leaflet At Our Clean Up Meeting Point.

All We Ask Is You Follow Our Rules & Regulations To Keep Everyone Safe So You Can Enjoy Your Visit. 

Please Don't Litter! #Binit Or #Takeithome - There Is Plenty Of Bins Look Out For Our Bin Banners. 

Pick Up After Your Dog, Remember Any Bin Will Do!
Our Volunteers Carry Spare Bags With Them Along With Bags Available At Our Clean Up Meeting Point.
However You May Wish To Adopt The Stick & Flick Approach, Please Only Do This If It Is Safe & In A Suitable Place. We Highlight Any Dog Fouling Left By Using A Temporary Yellow Spray Paint, We Will Only Remove Dog Fouling If It Is Causing A Obstruction Or In A High Traffic Area, By Doing This It Helps To Reduce Plastic Bags This Technique Is Also Used By Many Local Authorities Across Scotland & The Scottish Forestry Commission. 


Please Don't Do Anything That Would Cause Injury & Report Any Damage To Anything Or Play Equipment ASAP.
If You See Anyone Causing Vandalism Please Immediately Call Police On 999, If You Notice Vandalism That Has Previously Been Done Then Please Report It To Us, Please Don't Put Yourself In Any Danger By Trying To Record Someone Or By Interfering! 

Use Of Drones Are Strictly Prohibited Within The Parks Boundary, In Exemption Circumstances You May Be Able To Obtain A One Time Licence From Angus Council.  Any Vehicles Other Than Road Legal Ones Are Not Allowed To Be Used Under Any Circumstances On The Park Premises, This Includes The Use Of Electric Scooters.   

Don't Have Any Fires Or Use Fireworks, BBQ'S Can Only Be Used In The Designated Area.


Avoid Causing Concern To Others By Keeping Your Dog Close At Heel Or On A Short Lead, Please Follow This Guidance On The Scottish Outdoor Access Code When Walking Your Dog In Public:

Respect Our Volunteers & Any Council Workers, Pease Be Aware We May Ask You To Move To Another Area For Instance If We Where Cutting Grass, This Is To Keep You Safe. Please Also Note Our Volunteers Are Equipped With Body Worn CCTV For Personnel Safety & Security.
